The main entrance to the library is the same. Our 24-hour book drop is open in the Northeast corner of the building!  Additional parking has been added to the front and side of the building.

How can I check out library materials?

Come into the library to choose materials, or pick up items you have on hold at the circulation desk. 

Curbside Pick-up is still available. Please call the circulation desk when you arrive if you would like to use that service.

How can I renew library materials?

How do I renew my library materials? Use your online account or call the library to renew items.

New automatic renewals! Items will be automatically renewed up to 2 terms. Restrictions: Auto-renewal does not apply to items on a waiting list with holds. If a hold is placed during your check-out time, the item must be returned at the due date.

Where can I return library materials?

Come into the library and return your items in the slot at the circulation desk.

Materials are no longer being quarantined. 

Note that the North Whitehall Township book drop will remain CLOSED until further notice. 

The Library shall not be responsible for any materials left outside closed book drops. If any materials are lost, damaged, or stolen that are left outside, the patron will be held accountable.

How can I get a library card, or renew my card?

Lost and New Cards: Apply in person at the library or on our website if you are new to the library, or have lost your card.

Renewals By Phone: We can renew cards in person, by phone, or by emailing We’ll need your library card number, first and last name, phone number, email address, and street address, including apartment number or PO Box if applicable. All information must be current.

How can I attend library programs?

Virtual programs are available for all ages, and we are slowly reintroducing in-person programs. Find them listed on our website under the ATTEND tab for children, teens, and adults. Sign up for eNews for important updates, events, and news.  

COVID-19 Guidelines for Visiting An LCLC Library 


  • • Per CDC and State Public Health guidelines, patrons who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear masks and have them in place while on library grounds.
  • • Maintain social distancing by putting space (at least 6 feet) between yourself and others.
  • • Patrons should sanitize their hands upon arrival at the library. 
  • • For the safety of all, we ask that people who feel ill, do not come inside. Patrons who are visibly sick or coughing/sneezing excessively will be asked to leave.

550,000 Items at Your Request! A Proud Member of the Lehigh Carbon Library Cooperative 

The Parkland Community Library has joined forces with ten other local libraries to form the Lehigh Carbon Library Cooperative (LCLC)! We all share one library card and catalog combining us into one collection of over 550,000 items! Patrons can place holds on materials in any of our partner libraries!
