The Friends of Parkland Community Library is a service organization committed to providing additional support to the library where funding may fall short. The Friends are a dedicated group who are passionate that the library is an essential part of the community. The FPCL work actively to make the library a better place by promoting community outreach, fundraising, staff development opportunities, and enhancing the library experience for all patrons. Their ongoing yearly support enables the library to continue its wide range of programming. Their efforts provide financial support for supplies and equipment beyond funding provided by local, regional, and state government agencies.
Thanks to the FPCL, the library can offer patrons access to printing in the Tech Center. Their support provides you complimentary copies of BookPage, a monthly book review publication. Other contributions include charging stations, outside seating and message center, and a staff refrigerator. The Friends sponsor museum passes, LS Events Calendar, Adult and Children's programming materials, classes, and events, and raffle items.

FPCL offers several sales throughout the year available for purchase at PCL's circulation desk. Popular campaigns include flower baskets, coupon books, dinners, trips, and alcove book sales. Their primary fundraiser is the Annual Used Book Sale which spans several days. Customers can browse thousands of gently-used materials, including a vast selection of hardback and paperback titles, vintage books, music, DVDs, books on CD, and more. Most items are priced around a few dollars. Proceeds from the sales help fund services and resources of the library.
